Zahid has a wealth of experience in financial technology and has been Chief Executive Officer at Mortgage Brain since May 2021. He previously spent 11 years as CEO at Defaqto, where he played a pivotal role in reshaping the business strategy, driving growth, and delivering a successful management buyout in 2015. Zahid later oversaw the sale and integration of Defaqto into Fintel, a leading provider of financial services technology and support.

Earlier in his career, Zahid held senior roles including Senior Manager in Andersen’s Business Consulting division and Business Transformation Director at Balfour Beatty.

Zahid is passionate about the transformative power of data and artificial intelligence, and believes that, when harnessed effectively, they have the potential to create better customer outcomes, improve efficiency, and drive meaningful innovation across the mortgage and financial advice sectors.
